LCA is worth eight valuable credits under MAN01 for BREEAM 2018
Our Assessment conforms with the prescribed BREEAM methodology, using approved software
All assessment are completed on approved software using BRE’s building component database
Mat 1 credits in BREEAM 2018 are no longer based on Green Guide ratings. Credits are now awarded for carrying out Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). Stroma use an approved online tool to carry out the process. Credits are awarded for carrying out the LCA at RIBA Stage 2 and for re-visiting this at RIBA 4. Stoma will work with the design team to assess your proposed design to see if improvements to the embodied carbon in your building, foundations and services can be made.
Overall, up to 10.49% of the BREEAM assessment can be achieved by carrying out the LCA at the correct time, using the approved tool.
Up to 5 credits plus one exemplary credit at RIBA Stage 2
Up to 2 credits plus one exemplary credit at RIBA Stage 4
