Stroma Certification is very proud to be sponsoring Team Chimera in Robot Wars 2017 as Stroma Certification’s Quality Manager and Chimera team member, Mark Rollins-Mann re-enters the competition.
Team Chimera is a family team, spanning three generations, from Bolton. Team Chimera has appeared in the last two series of Robot Wars, where they were one of forty other competing robot teams. In 2017, they will be competing with their new heavyweight robot, Chimera2. Stroma Certification is proud to be sponsoring the team throughout the competition.
Chimera2 has been designed and built by Team Chimera in their workshop, having undertaken all of the cutting, wielding and fabrication themselves. Chimera2 is double the speed and 30kg heavier than their first robot and will be modified further in 2017 so that it becomes more reliable and competitive.
