The Government has consulted on and reviewed proposals for revision of Approved Documents for Part L and Part F. Importantly, proposals for transitional arrangements to increase uptake of the new energy efficiency requirements are also included.
The UK government has now set into law a target to bring its greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by the year 2050. To reach this goal, the government has committed to improve energy efficiency standards across the country with the new Future Homes Standard. The ambitious target is to reduce the average home’s carbon emissions by up to 80%.
