Stroma Certification will be returning to the IDEA Conference for the fourth time this October. As a leading certification body for the energy assessment industry, Stroma Certification will be offering support and advice on our latest certification, software and training provisions which are developed specifically with energy assessors in mind.
The Institute for the Development of Energy Assessment (IDEA) is a leading body for energy assessors and professionals working throughout the Energy and Carbon Reduction market.
IDEA aims to promote professionalism, help members become more qualified, source expert advice and develop members' business and client skills.
The annual IDEA Conference brings together industry specialists to offer energy assessors expert guidance to improve on competence and compliance. A selection of presentations and workshops are available at the conference to inform delegates of developments to Green Deal, ECO, RHI, RdSAP and more. 2017 exhibitors include leading certification and accreditation bodies, renewable energy suppliers, training providers who will be offering their support and services to delegates looking to improve their business.
Stuart Oakes, Stroma Group Sales Manager, and Andrew Parkin, Stroma Certification Technical Manager, will be on hand at the IDEA Conference and presenting in the speakers schedule. In addition to discussing recent changes to the construction and energy efficiency sectors, Stroma Certification will be offering advice on the changes we have made within our business to support energy assessors in meeting industry demands.
One of the key updates we will be focussing on at IDEA 2017 is the changes to RdSAP methodology (9.93) which is due to be released later this year. We will be offering an overview of these updates and how they may affect assessors carrying out energy assessments. We're also excited to present the upcoming update to our RSAP+ Software platform. In order to remain compliant against RdSAP methodology, we have made some new developments to RSAP+. The new cross-platform functionality enables EPCs to be completed anytime, anywhere on Tablet (iPad, Android and Windows) and Smartphone (iPhone, Android and Windows) devices in addition to Desktop. The update ensures functionality is the same across all compatible platforms, enabling compliant EPC assessment work to be carried out with ease.
Additional topics we will be presenting include our latest training courses for Legionella and the new Minimum Energy Efficiency Standard (MEES). These courses can help energy assessors, landlords and letting agents to meet the health and safety requirements surrounding legionella and also provide an understanding on the newest release of MEES and the effects on domestic Private Rented Sector (PRS) properties. We'll also be outlining our extensive range of services we offer to energy assessors, such as CPD events, certification schemes and membership benefits which promote and maintain compliance for energy assessors.
This year's IDEA Conference focuses on 're-energising the future', with an aim to provide delegates with the skills, knowledge and tools to enable them to provide compliant and more effective energy assessment work to their clients. Stroma Certification is delighted to be attending the IDEA Conference 2017 to participate in supporting the industry with our expert advice and service offerings.
