In September 2015, the Stroma Group completed the acquisition of multi-disciplinary Building Control service provider, Greendoor Building Control & Specialist Services Limited (Greendoor). The addition of Greendoor marked Stroma's first major acquisition since the management buyout of the Stroma Group in 2014 by LDC and the first of its kind in the Building Control sector.
Greendoor's array of clients, including homeowners, architectural practices, project managers, surveyors, landlords and agents, made the business an ideal procurement to support Stroma's expansion into the Building Control and Approved Inspector sector. With over a decade of experience growing their revenues and client base, Greendoor had an impressive portfolio of working in both domestic and large scale commercial projects. Greendoor provided the experience, expertise and national coverage which the Stroma Group required to develop a market leading organisation.
Since the acquisition of Greendoor, the Stroma Group have acquired two additional Approved Inspector organisations, Approved Design Consultancy and BBS Building Control, meaning there are now three independent Construction Industry Council (CIC) Approved Inspector companies working with clients on a nationwide basis, both for domestic and commercial projects.
In addition to Greendoor, Approved Design and BBS, the Stroma Group also comprises Stroma Certification, Stroma Software, Stroma Tech and HRS Services Ltd to offer a comprehensive and professional service which caters for varying requirements throughout built environment and energy efficiency sectors. With three Approved Inspector organisations now forming part of the Stroma Group, we are able to offer our services throughout the RIBA Plan of Work to ensure our clients' projects meet all design and sustainability targets as well as ensuring regulatory compliance. Our expert teams are able to provide advice and technical guidance throughout each stage of a development or project to ensure our clients' requirements are met.
