As we move past the half way mark of the year, we held a Certification update for the division at Stroma Head Office in Castleford. We covered the overall performance of the division and the targets for the remainder of the year. I’d like to share some of our news with members.
Overall, the lodgement market is up on the previous year, in terms of growth year-on-year for the period of 2018/19 versus 2017/2018. Domestic RdSAP is up 36% as well as Domestic SAP being up 8% in the same period. Market growth in 2018 for commercial projects sat at 21%, domestic RDSAP was at 16% and Domestic SAP at 11%. This is extremely positive for the industry and is driven by opportunities such as MEES and the latest compliance period for ESOS. View our Annual Performance
As a business we’re looking to grow further, which will allow us to bring further service improvements to our members. I’m keen to strive for the highest standards of customer service and technical support This year we rolled out price changes to all strands of our EPCs, to allow us to better serve our members. Standard fees are now as follows; DEA £4.99, SAP £5.99, NDEA up to £27.10, DEC £11 and ACIR up to £27.10. I am committed to working alongside members to facilitate fair lodgement fees across the industry which allow energy assessors to prosper and certification bodies to support and represent your interests to Government.
Key events for the year ahead include continual software development for RdSAP and SAP, SOR changes, audit platform changes and the release of RdSAP 9.94 on the 22nd of September. Stroma Certification is working extremely hard to deliver these huge changes to our internal infrastructure to retain our status as the industry’s pre-eminent certification body for energy assessors. Look out for more information on these changes in future newsletters and on our website.
The upcoming implementation and development of the PAS 2035 retrofit framework represents an exciting upcoming market for Stroma Certification. Stroma will be at the forefront of the PAS 2035 development cycle, from this significant upcoming change to the energy industry. I will be leading the working group, collaborating closely with other PEPA members as this new framework takes shape. Andrew Parkin, Stroma Director of Energy Certification
