I want to make energy lodgements
To carry out work as an Energy Assessor you must be Certified by a MHCLG Authorised Certification Scheme.
Before you can join an EPBD (Energy Performance of Buildings Directive) certification scheme, you must complete some of the following entry requirements:
The equivalent training course
Submit a portfolio demonstrating your business skills
Proof of Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance
In some cases a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check
A minimum of 10 hours CPD a year
Certification allows an energy assessor to lodge Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for different property types in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland or Wales.
Members can demonstrate to a home or building owner that you are able to carry out work competently and to a high standard, and in accordance with the National Occupational Standards (NOS).
Stroma Certification will audit some lodgements each year to maintain your membership.
