Stroma Certification’s approved Domestic Green Deal Advisor (GDA) Training demonstrates how to carry out Green Deal qualifying assessments, produce Green Deal Advice Reports (GDARs) and explain the findings and recommendations to operate as a Domestic Green Deal Advisor (GDA).
Stroma Certification provides software tools, training and certification schemes to assist the industry in embracing the Green Deal scheme for Green Deal Advisors.
Stroma Certification offers face-to-face training, balancing out the soft skills and technical expertise required of Green Deal Advisors. All aspects of the GDA National Occupational Standards (NOS) are covered on the course.
It is a requirement that all applicants be a certified Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) prior to taking the GDA qualification. Stroma Certification operates a DCLG-authorised DEA certification scheme and the requisite DEA training. Existing Stroma DEA members are eligible for a 10% discount on the GDA qualification route.
All qualified GDAs must either align with a Green Deal Assessor Organisation (GDAO) or operate as a sole trader, providing they conform to GDAO certification requirements.
Properties must have a Green Deal Advice Report (GDAR) in order to apply for funding under the Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI). Days 2 and 3 of the course will explain the data inputting and assessment procedures for producing GDARs, as well as how to impart the information to a customer.
Witnessed Assessments are carried out by Stroma Certification personnel within the allocated maximum time of two hours per Green Deal assessment. The assessment need not follow directly after the training and can be arranged to suit your requirements.
We recommend the completion of a minimum of 10 CPD hours to maintain your membership. Stroma Certification will post information for relevant courses to members to assist with fulfilling this requirement.
Stroma Certification’s Domestic Green Deal Advisor (GDA) training is approved by the relevant awarding bodies. A registration fee is payable to the awarding body on course completion. We offer GDA training across the UK and can provide the course at a location of your choosing for groups of four or more individuals.
Following course completion, Stroma Certification will award applicants certified status on receipt of a completed portfolio which undergoes assessment and verification. The portfolio must include evidence to meet all of the relevant awarding body’s requirements.
