Public Building Assessment Certification (DEC)

Produce Display Energy Certificates

Gain certification as a Public Building (or DEC) Assessor with Stroma Certification on our scheme which is authorised by DCLG. Carry out public building assessments with professional Display Energy Certificates and Advisory Reports.

What are Display Energy Certificates?

DECs provide buildings with an operational rating, in terms of energy usage, on a scale of A – G (A being the most efficient). DECs are based on the actual amount of metered energy used by the building over a 12-month period. Both a DEC and an AR are required for public buildings with:

  • A useable floor area over 1,000m2;
  • Occupied in whole, or in part, by public authorities and by institutions providing public services to a large number of persons;
  • Frequently visited by members of the public.

Making certification a straightforward DECision.

Our DEC certification scheme carries no annual membership charges. There are no barriers to entry with Stroma. Our costs are kept low as a duty of care to our members so we can concentrate on providing you with the very best scheme support.
