COVID-19 Update for Energy Assessors

Energy Assessor members will be aware that the Prime Minister and his medical advisors announced a tightening of restrictions on Saturday evening following a rise in COVID-19 infections. Since then, Robert Jenrick, the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, has announced that the property market will remain open during the period of lockdown.

Following Government Advice

Stroma is awaiting further clarification from the Government about any impacts on work being carried out in homes. We are also carefully monitoring trends in the housing market. However, we expect that energy assessments in properties can continue to take place as long as members adhere to Government guidelines. We encourage all members to familiarise yourselves with Government advice regarding COVID-19 and the associated guidance from the NHS.

Supporting our Members

In the first period of lockdown Stroma invested in new systems to maintain and improve our Technical Support for members and we will use this to continue our service during this second lockdown. Please be aware that there may be slight delays in our response times in the event of high call volumes.

There will be no change to our Audit Process and we will continue to call and complete audits for all schemes. Where any member has any issues with timescales for any reason, please contact the relevant team via email or phone so that we can best assist and support you.
