Stroma Built Environment provides Electrical Thermography using thermal imaging cameras to help inspect electrical systems. We’re working with clients to ensure electrical systems remain operational, whilst reducing risks and system downtime/outages.

Certified Electrical Thermographers

PCN certified Thermographers experienced in using thermal imaging cameras on complex installations.

Reduce Fire Risks & System Downtime

Electrical Thermography surveys can help to reduce risks of fire and prevent system breakdowns, whilst ensuring compliance.

Regulatory Compliance

Maintain compliance with regulations, including Electricity at Work Act 1989, Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, and 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

Electrical Thermography to Identify Electrical Faults

Our Electrical Thermography Surveys are performed using thermal imaging cameras to detect infrared radiation and temperature variances to identify electrical faults before they become critical. We’re experienced in carrying out thermal imaging surveys whilst electrical systems are under normal loads, ensuring minimal disruption to your operations.

Increase the lifespan of equipment

Reduce running and operating costs

Prevent equipment breakdown/downtime

Reduce the risks of fire

Comply with company insurance requirements

Complement periodic fixed wire testing

Electrical Thermal Imaging Surveys can be carried out on a range of electrical systems, including distribution boards, switch panels and switchboards, control panels, switch fuses and isolators, servers, battery banks, and transformers.

"We’d recommend a follow-up Electrical Thermography survey at least once every 12 months to reduce any risks or system breakdowns. We’ll work with you to monitor the current performance of the electrical system and compare results to the last survey to identify any changes and faults."

Inspections and Reporting for Safe and Compliant Electrical Systems

Following an Electrical Thermographic Survey, our Thermographers will advise on any remedial actions to minimise risks and system downtimes. Using analysis software, our reports can highlight temperature anomalies, along with possible causes and severity.
