Fire Risk Assessment Level 3 Certificate (FRA)
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RRO) has been implemented by the Department for Communities and Local Government (CLG) to reduce the injury, death and damage risks posed by fire both to the public and to property.
Stroma Certification is pleased to offer the Level 3 Certificate in Fire Risk Assessment, certified by the Awarding Body for the Built Environment (ABBE). The Fire Risk Assessment qualification allows candidates to qualify as ‘competent persons’, in order to carry out fire risk assessments. The course has been designed to enable candidates to demonstrate their competency to undertake assessments, and is aimed at both in house assessors and independent consultants.
Qualified assessors will be permitted to produce Risk Assessment Reports for live buildings meeting the following criteria:
- Low to medium rise (up to five storeys)
- Low to medium occupancy (<60 employees or <300 persons if a public-access building)
- Single or multiple occupancy
- Routine but not excessive public access
Examples of premises include:
- Offices
- Small and medium sized shops
- Industrial premises
- Sports premises
