Bradford Property Forum
Stroma sponsored the recent Bradford Property Forum event which took place on September 16th at the Marriott Hollins Hall Hotel in Baildon, Shipley.
Established in April 2007, the forum aims to address property-related issues and planning problems, promote property opportunities, and improve the quality of development in the area.
This event in particular was concerned with Bradford's 5800 listed buildings and the balance which must be achieved between preserving the area's heritage and accommodating modern development.
The event was well attended and speakers focused on the need to maintain Bradford's individuality whilst also ensuring that buildings do not remain listed, and thus likely to inhibit new development, without good cause. A survey of all buildings in the district is planned within 12-18 months.
Stroma is also a member of the Leeds Property Forum and will be present at its upcoming event, taking place at Eversheds in Leeds on December 10th.
