Stroma Certification has secured approval by ABBE
Further to Ofqual's recent approval of the Home Energy Advice (HEA) qualification, we are pleased to announce that Stroma Certification has secured approval by ABBE to run the Level 3 Certificate in Home Energy Advice (HEA), as of 1st September 2010.
The HEA qualification stems from the Government's commitment to improve the energy efficiency and sustainability of households across England and Wales. With 60 percent of today's buildings still expected to exist in 2050, we need to ensure that they are made as energy efficient as possible.
It is widely recognised that in order to reduce buildings' emissions, improvements to the building fabric and controls must be implemented. In addition to this, the public must be educated about how they can be more energy efficient, both in their homes and in their general day-to-day lives.
The HEA qualification allows assessors to undertake energy audits on individual households, with the aim of identifying recommendations by offering one-to-one guidance. This will help to encourage and motivate homeowners to reduce their energy consumption, improve their energy efficiency, and put any recommendations into action.
