Reports
Planning Compliance Report
To ensure that a development is on target to meet the relevant local authority criteria, we can evaluate the proposed scheme and, where warranted, provide best advice for meeting requirements.
Feasibility Study and Report
Undertaken during the initial stages, feasibility studies can assist our clients in making the most practical and cost-effective decisions for their project. Stroma identifies and carries out a detailed analysis of the various factors expected to affect the project. This can include constraints of location and geography; technical or practical difficulties; legislative requirements and targets; and environmental and financial considerations. We then issue a comprehensive report which explores the viability of various options, establishes those most appropriate for the project and proposes strategies for implementation.
Energy Audit Report
We can carry out energy audits on existing building stock and produce detailed reports indicating, where necessary, practical measures for reducing energy usage and, consequently, running costs. This can assist in formulating a suitable and cost-effective retrofit strategy.
CSH Feasibility Report
To assist a development in meeting the required Code level, Stroma can undertake a feasibility study and offer impartial advice on the most practical and financially-viable approach for achieving the reduction in carbon emissions required, whilst also meeting Ene 7 criteria.
Ene 7 Feasibility Reports
Ene 7 is one of the elements under the Energy and CO2 Emissions category of the Code for Sustainable Homes (CSH) Technical Guidance, and refers to the use of low or zero carbon (LZC) technologies.
It aims to reduce carbon emissions and pollution by encouraging the use of renewable technology to deliver a significant proportion of the dwelling's energy requirement. Though not a mandatory element, two credits are available under Ene 7.
To qualify, energy must either be supplied from local renewable or low carbon energy sources funded under the Low Carbon Building Programme or a similar scheme, or be designed and installed in accordance with a strategy approved by an independent energy specialist's feasibility study.
To gain one credit |
To gain two credits |
The method of supply must deliver a 10% reduction in carbon emissions |
The method of supply must deliver a 15% reduction in carbon emissions |
Stroma Design can adopt the role of independent energy specialist, undertaking a feasibility study and offering impartial advice on the most practical and financially-viable approach for meeting the relevant criteria and achieving the reduction in carbon emissions required to gain credits under Ene 7 and assist in securing the target CSH level.
Ene 5 Feasibility Reports
Ene 5 is an issue assessed under the Energy section of BREEAM, and is concerned with the use of low and zero carbon technologies.
Three credits are available under Ene 5, which aims to reduce pollution and CO2 production by encouraging the use of renewable technologies to satisfy a significant proportion of a building's energy demand.
Stroma Design can carry out a feasibility study and outline the most practical and financially-viable approach for meeting Ene 5 criteria in a detailed report.
