SBEM & DSM

New non-residential buildings have to comply with Building Regulation Part L2A. Stroma has extensive experience in producing the CO₂ emissions calculations required to prove compliance, using SBEM (Simplified Building Energy Model) or DSM (Dynamic Simulation Modelling) as appropriate. Moreover, our energy assessors have the expertise to give advice on strategic alternatives for achieving compliance through building fabric and services choices. 

SAP Calculations

New residential buildings have to comply with Building Regulation Part L1A which stipulates CO₂ emissions calculations based on SAP 2005. Stroma’s team of energy assessors is well equipped to deliver this service, having carried out thousands of SAP calculations for major housebuilders and contractors throughout the UK and Ireland. In addition, we can offer advice on the various compliance options and have assisted in formulating the compliance strategy for challenging developments such as high-rise buildings and high sustainability projects.

If required, and as an extension to the Part L calculation process, Stroma can also produce Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) and carry out Code for Sustainable Homes(CSH) assessments or BREEAM assessments.
