Air Tightness Calibration Services
A UKAS calibration must be utilised for equipment that is used to test buildings for air leakage in accordance with Building Regulations Part L. A formal calibration should be selected for equipment that is only used to calculate retention times for fire suppression systems in accordance with NFPA 2001 and ISO 14520.
With a UKAS calibration, the equipment is calibrated and a certificate issued in accordance with the laboratory accreditation requirements of the United Kingdom Accreditation Service. UKAS is one of the signatories to the International Laboratory Accreditation Co-operation (ILAC) Arrangement for the mutual recognition of calibration certificates issued by accredited laboratories. Therefore all UKAS calibrations are performed to an internationally recognised standard.
Stroma is a UKAS accredited calibration laboratory (Lab No. 4126) and can offer calibration for both air tightness testing and room integrity testing equipment including Retrotec, Minneapolis and Infiltec models.
