Diploma in Display Energy Certificates - Level 3 (DipDEC)

Certification

Once qualified via the qualification or APEL route, assessors can join Stroma's certification scheme and begin conducting public building energy assessments, producing and lodging DECs and ARs. We regularly carry out quality assurance to ensure that all assessments conducted and DECs produced meet the required standard.

Stroma certified assessors benefit from the Stroma website members area, regular technical bulletins and regular CPD events and workshops.

In anticipation of the increased demand for DECs expected to follow implementation of the EPBD2, Stroma is offering a market-leading DEC package for all DEAs:

  • Readily available technical support from qualified assessors and IT professionals
  • Highly competitive lodgements fees of just £10 each (plus £5.36 Landmark fee)

APEL (Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning)

For experienced candidates possessing the skills required to undertake DEC assessments and compile ARs, there is a fast track option: APEL. To satisfactorily complete an APEL application, supporting information is required to demonstrate competence against the National Occupational Standard (NOS) framework in conjunction with submission of relevant projects for technical appraisal.
