Stroma Certification Logo

Provides a broad range of training, certification and software for assessors, inspectors and advisors vital in supporting the legislative developments of the building industry for reducing emissions, saving energy and building sustainably in line with Governmental targets and developments. Stroma's Certification scheme for Energy assessment and Competent Person Scheme (CPS) is approved by the Department of Communities and Local Government (CLG). The Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) is approved by The Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC).

On Construction Domestic Energy Assessor (New build)

Main Purpose of the Role

You must be experienced in new build SAP calculations. You will need to be at a level where you can effectively run the SAP. You will be working on large scale residential projects. You will ideally be educated to degree level in a relevant environmental/engineering/construction discipline and you will ideally be an accredited On Construction Domestic Energy Assessor. You will be able to demonstrate experience in undertaking SAP assessments for construction new build projects. You will need to have experience of codes for sustainable homes assessments and energy modelling but some report writing experience will be an advantage. You will undertake SAP assessments and deliver expert sustainable design advice to clients as well as assisting with codes for sustainable homes assessments.

DOCEA Technical Advisor

Main Purpose of the Role

To form part of a busy certification team, providing technical support and advice to all assessor scheme members. To conduct desktop audits of assessors work and assess trainee portfolios. To train candidates wishing to become DOCEA (full SAP) energy assessors. To develop and contribute to relevant technical documents and manuals.

Key Tasks

  • Provide technical and software support via phone and email.
  • Provide written and verbal feedback to members.
  • To develop and contribute to relevant technical documents and manuals.
  • Reading the latest industry changes and developments.
  • To undertake QA assessment of scheme members’ lodged work.
  • To maintain accurate call register information relating to inbound calls.
  • To assist in course material production and post-course support.
  • Provide written reports and verbal feedback.
  • Carry out quality assurance checks on members work.
  • To train candidates wishing to become DOCEA (full SAP) energy assessors.
  • To field incoming calls relating to SAP and Code for Sustainable Homes assessments and training
  • Any other related duties as required by Scheme Manager.

Main Purpose of the Role

Green Deal Installer (GDI) Scheme Manager

Stroma, a growing company within the construction/energy efficiency industry, which focuses on building compliance and sustainability, is expanding their GreenDeal department. Does working with Green Deal developments representing a leading energy assessor certification scheme interest you?

We are currently expanding our membership base of surveyors, inspectors, installers, and advisors who are specialist in the fields of Building Fabrics, Heating Ventilation, and Hot Water Systems, Microgeneration and energy assessment and require a 'hands on' Green Deal Installer Scheme Manager who can project manage the development of our Green Deal programme and policy developments. Training and development to meet the constraints of the Green Deal programme shall be provided, however if you can demonstrate:
